THE FAMILY ROOM IS BACK, BETTER THAN EVER!

The Family Room is a fabulous place for kids and caregivers to "hang out" when they need a break. There will be comfy seating, art centers, scheduled movie showings, music, games, puzzles and so much more. Children must be attended by a responsible caregiver at all times in the Family Room.

DRUMMING

Children and caregivers are invited to cooperate in creating an interactive, experiential musical event with the return of Steve Turner and Giving Tree Music. Learn about African culture, history and geography regarding the origin of the drum and its music. Bring your own drum, or use one of the beautiful instruments made by Steve.

STORYTELLING WITH JIM WEISS

To hear Jim tell a story is to become swept into the tale, and it is no wonder that children leave the storyteller’s circle determined to re-create the drama in their own creative play. Jim’s tales encourage children to read original classical literature either on their own or with the help of the more experienced readers in their lives. Intelligent entertainment for the thinking family!

NEW this Year

The Community Connections Room Stop in the Community Connections Room at the conference. The room will host a relaxing atmosphere to just take a break or to learn from a variety of professionals who will share their knowledge. Topics include pathways to midwifery, doula training, IBCLC preparation, new baby carrier demonstrations, learn about the new Florida Breastfeeding Coalition and more. Be sure to check your Program Brochure for some great surprises and the schedule of activities!

The MaLLL

Shop ‘til you drop while at the conference! Support LLL of FL/ESI and small family oriented businesses while finding those unique things you usually only see in catalogues! Visit all the shopping venues: Bookstore, Boutique, drawings, and Silent Auction. Remember to bring your checkbook, cash, Visa, MasterCard or Group check to pay for your items!

Bookstore

LLL of FL/ESI welcomes back Books-A-Million as our bookstore host. They will offer books on parenting and breastfeeding topics, titles by all our author/speakers, books recommended by conference speakers and an array of children’s books and activities. Extra shopping hours on Sunday morning!

Group Baskets

One-of-a-kind Theme-related baskets donated by LLL of FL/ESI Groups will be available through a ticket drawing. Tickets will be counted Sun. morning so be sure to buy tickets and stuff that box full by Sun. at 10:30 am if you intend to win! Silent Auction

The Silent Auction will feature goods and services donated by supporting organizations and individuals. Please be generous in donating and bidding—all proceeds benefit LLL of FL/ESI.
